Erik VonKaenel’s research interests include computer vision, image analysis, and cell morphology with specific applications to microglial cell images and confocal microscopy. He is currently working on methods for automatic microglia segmentation from raw microscope images. He is also developing methods to characterize and analyze the morphological features of microglial cells.
